Al Barari Development Company (ABDC) is undertaking the construction of Al Barari Mixed-Use Development project in Dubai, the UAE.
The project involves the construction of mixed-use facilities over an area of 1,320,000m2 and is being developed in phases.
The first phase includes the construction of 189 villas of five to seven bedrooms, landscaped gardens, swimming pools, water features, resort and spa area, mechanical and electrical installations for the home automation system and other infrastructure facilities.
The second phase includes the development of 28 botanical gardens, one six star facilities, hotel, spa, healing resort, entertainment complex, leisure facilities, Ashjar with 21 low-rise buildings, Seventh Heaven villas, The Nest and other related facilities.
It also includes the construction of roads, a high voltage electrical network, irrigation drainage and sewerage networks, waterways, and development of lakes.
In January 2007, Al Naboodah Engineering Services was appointed as the EPC contractor for infrastructure.
In 2007, Al Naboodah Contracting was appointed as the EPC contractor, Trans Gulf Electro Mechanical Company as the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) consultant, Woods Bagot and Halcrow International Partnership as architects and Elite Realty Dubai as marketing consultants.
In March 2008, the construction work on the first phase commenced.
In the third quarter of 2009, the second phase of the project was placed on hold, however, in the second quarter of 2011, works on the project were resumed.
In January 2011, infrastructure works completed and in October 2011, first phase construction work was completed.
10 Design has been appointed as the design consultant, WSP as the structural and M&E consultant, Blair Anderson as the quantity surveyor and Etcetera Living as the interior designers for the second phase.
In September 2014, construction works on Seventh Heaven commenced and in December 2014, construction works on Ashjar commenced.
As of March 2017, 75% of construction works on Seventh Heaven and 70% on Ashjar were completed. ABDC has launched The Nest sales.
