Global Industrial Heat Exchangers Category - Procurement Market Intelligence Report

About Industrial Heat Exchangers Market

Heat exchangers are devices that are used for the transfer of thermal energy (enthalpy) through conduction and convection via thermal contact. They utilize various direct and indirect contact transfer processes for enabling the exchange of heat. There are several types of heat exchangers that are classified based on the heat transfer process.

In direct transfer type of heat exchangers, heat transfer between fluids takes place through a dividing wall. There is no mixing of the fluids, as they flow in separate passages. There are no moving parts involved in this type of heat exchangers. Tubular, plate type and extended surface exchangers are some examples of direct transfer heat exchangers. Whereas, in the storage type of heat exchangers, both the fluids alternately flow through same flow passages. Hence, heat transfer is intermittent, as thermal energy is alternately stored and released by a common matrix wall.
