All-Terrain Vehicles Procurement in the US
This report is intended to assist buyers of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). An ATV is an open-air vehicle with highly treaded, low-pressure tires and handlebars for steering. ATVs are intended for use on rugged terrain and are not permitted for use on public roads in the United States. Farmers, hunters, ranchers and workers in agricultural, commercial, industrial and construction environments often use ATVs. Most ATVs have four wheels, but there are also three- and six-wheel ATVs. Furthermore, ATVs can be catered to carry one or two persons. This report does not include automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, golf carts, tomcars, amphibious all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles or dune buggies.
