Infrared Cameras Procurement in the US
This report is intended to assist buyers of infrared cameras. Infrared cameras, also known as thermographic cameras, are used to detect infrared radiation, which is commonly emitted in the form of heat, and transmit it into a visible image that can be analyzed by the end user. Infrared cameras are used for a wide variety of purposes in a number of industries because they permit users to detect the presence of heat, which would otherwise be invisible to the naked eye, emanating from an object. Infrared cameras are able to scan objects and identify potential problems, such as insulation leaks, in a noninvasive manner. Infrared cameras are used extensively for research and development, security, law enforcement and building inspections. This report excludes visible light cameras.
