Ground Power Units in the US - Procurement Research Report

Ground Power Units Procurement in the US

This report is intended to assist buyers of ground power units. Ground power units are portable devices used to power aircraft at a terminal or in a hangar, as well as to assist in starting the engines. Ground power units are used for many different types of aircraft, including military, commercial and private airplanes. Many planes do not have auxiliary power capabilities without the engine remaining on, so ground power units are used to provide general onboard power or power during maintenance, and to recharge onboard batteries. This report does not include ground power units that are built into jet bridges (also called jetways).
