This report is intended to assist buyers of graphics and video accelerator cards. Graphics and video accelerator cards (also known simply as graphics, video or display cards) are components of personal computers that manage and process complex high-definition images, video and 3D imagery. A graphics card consists of a circuit board, one or more graphical processing units (GPU), memory and often also includes other components such as heat sinks and input and output interfaces. Graphic designers and researchers are the primary users of graphics cards. This report excludes computers, motherboards and other computer components such as CPUs.
