Desktop Computers Procurement in the US
This report is intended to assist buyers of desktop computers, which are traditional full-featured personal computers (PCs) used either as stand-alone computers or as workstations on a network. PCs are usually purchased in conjunction with all standard peripherals, such as a keyboard, a monitor and a mouse, instead of with peripherals as separate components. Suppliers of desktop computers include manufacturers and retailers. Key buyers are from various industries, such as software publishing firms, educational institutions and government agencies. This product group excludes laptops, notebooks, tablets, servers and mainframe computers. For the purpose of this report, the terms desktop computers and personal computers are used interchangeably.
