Analysis by Region - Emerging Markets - Costa Rica

We raised our forecast for Costa Rica's GDP to 3.3% from 2.9% in 2024 and to 2.3% from 2.1% in 2025. The main driver for this adjustment stems from improved economic prospects in the US compared to what we expected in November 2023. This factor, coupled with a mild to moderate El Niño phenomenon as projections suggest, is expected to support growth in the external sector. Our forecasts for both years fall below consensus.
