Macro - Country Economic Forecasts - Côte d'Ivoire

Côte d’Ivoire’s economy delivered yet another strong performance in 2023, expanding by 7.0% according to preliminary estimations. Growth is set to slow, yet remain robust, at 6.4% this year. Momentum in the industrial sector, driven by the ongoing expansion in hydrocarbons, is likely to intensify while the services sector is expected to deliver another strong showing. The agricultural sector will struggle, though, as unfavourable weather conditions hamper cocoa output. The country’s continued exposure to fluctuations in commodity prices and production underpins the need for economic transformation. Deepening key sectoral value chains, such as cocoa and oil, presents a valuable opportunity on this front.
