Macro - Country Economic Forecasts - Austria

The Austrian economy slipped into a technical recession as GDP contracted by 0.8% q/q in Q2 and 0.6% in Q3. After projected flat growth in Q4, we now expect GDP to contract by 0.5% overall this year. Reflecting on gloomy early indicators and the absence of growth impulses, we forecast GDP growth of just 0.3% in 2024.
