Macro - Country Economic Forecasts - Antigua and Barbuda
We forecast GDP growth of 6% for Antigua and Barbuda in 2022, supported mainly by tourism. Airport activity has boomed since the start of this year and is currently above 2021 levels, coming close to pre-Covid levels. Momentum from a strong Q4 2021, low numbers of Covid cases, the easing of pandemic-related restrictions, and less strict guidelines for travel will also contribute to economic growth this year. GDP expanded by 6.5% in 2021.
