Country Economic Forecasts - Mauritius

Mauritius again recorded solid growth in Q2 this year, with GDP rising 4.4% y/y. Economic performance will remain highly dependent on developments in Europe, but diversification efforts and a general improvement in the global economy should lift activity over the next year. We still forecast GDP growth of 3.8% this year and 3.9% in 2019, up from 3.7% in 2016, before a modest slowdown in 2019-21.
