Country Economic Forecasts - Lebanon
We still expect the Lebanese economy to accelerate in 2018, boosted by public investment initiatives and trade and tourism recovery, but we have lowered our GDP growth forecast to 2.5% from 2.7% given a soft start to the year and headwinds from higher oil prices. Barring renewed political instability, growth should recover further to 3% in 2019 and then about 3.5% a year in 2020-21.
