Country Economic Forecasts - Israel

Israel is still on course to post GDP growth of 3.2% this year, marginally slower than the 3.3% outturn in 2018. Although a slowdown in the world economy will have some knock-on effects on trade, Q1 data showed encouraging signs for exports. With the labour market remaining robust in 2019, consumer spending will continue to provide a boost to the economy. As a result, we still expect GDP growth to pick up in 2020 to 3.6%.
