Country Economic Forecasts - Denmark
Updated national accounts data show that GDP growth in the first half of the year was weaker than initially reported, with growth in both the first and second quarter nudged down by 0.1 percentage points to 0.3% and 0.2%, respectively. This implies a very modest start to the year and makes last month’s downwardly-revised growth forecast of 1.5% for 2018 look slightly optimistic. However, with most parts of the economy looking quite robust, we still think that a strong bounce-back in the second half of the year could deliver that forecast.
