The chemical group is divided into alkoxylates, sulfonates, organosilicone and other. Among these, sulfonates will capture over 25% revenue share of the overall segment. The product is mostly used in the production of anionic surfactants due to its excellent wetting, low odor, very low aquatic toxicity properties. Sulfonates are mostly used in extremely alkaline or acid water in order to smoothen the herbicides performance.
