Jul 2018: A Chinese firm claimed to have developed a laser gun that can set fire to protesters' hair or banners from a range of almost one kilometer. The 15mm caliber weapon weighs about three kilograms, has a range of approximately 800 meters and can pass through glass and other transparent obstacles.
Mar 2018: The Israeli border police equipped tear gas canisters on UAVs in preparation for efforts to disperse crowds and potential rioters. Each drone can carry six canisters of tear gas.
