It is said that mobility in mountain warfare performs the function of a great multiplier in combat. The Taliban has been successful in rebuffing the American Advances because its personnel are indigenous people and are accustomed to that type of terrain, so to counter this disadvantage maybe focus has also to be put on recruiting personnel accustomed to those conditions.
