Israel has initiated and implemented various state-of-the-art homeland security mechanism to ensure control over cross-border infiltration. For instance, since July 2015, the MoD of Israel has approved a plan of constructing a laser fencing system along with the Jordan Border covering a distance of 18 miles, which will be funded with $1 billion. The new fencing will be similar to the high-tech fences that Israel has been maintaining along its the borders with neighboring countries such as Egypt, Syria, and Lebanon since 2010. The fencing system will be supported with surveillance cameras, electronic detection systems, razor wires, and automatic gun targeting systems.

One such initiative is the development of combat or attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
