The test also measures high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), cholesterol, and triglyceride level of the blood. POC tests help reduce the time between the diagnosis and treatment of a disease. They are antibody-based or microbial particle-based detection methods. A healthcare professional or a nurse obtains the testing samples from a patient, performs the analysis, and records the result.
