According to the report, North America led the global market for food colors in 2014, primarily on account of the high demand for processed food in the region. Many consumers are preferring processed food because of their busy schedules. The market for processed foods is growing in both developed and developing countries. For instance, the processed food industry in India accounted for 32% of the total national food industry in the first half of 2015.
