However, with advances in technology, vendors such as Murata are offering MLCCs with acoustic noise reduction and DC smoothing for LED applications. Further, the report states that one challenge that could restrict market growth is flaws in the MLCC material functionalities. In certain conditions, a crack in the ceramic portion of an MLCC may cause difficulties.
