About Mobile Hotspot

A mobile hotspot is a hardware device that allows users to connect to the internet from anywhere and at any time. It enables the user to connect multiple mobile computing devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, via Wi-Fi. Hence, they are also termed Mi-Fi. Also, they are easy to operate and do not require any software to be uploaded on the connected device, unlike USB sticks.

Mobile hotspots convert 4G or long-term evolution (LTE) signals to Wi-Fi. The functioning of mobile hotspots depends on the availability of LTE networks. For instance, in the US, AT&T and Verizon have the largest LTE network coverage compared to other network providers such as Sprint and T-Mobile. Therefore, users opt for networks with the largest coverage area and fastest mobile network.
