However, in CVT systems the friction loss created during gear shifts is reduced as they quickly synchronize with the torque required for the new gear. This provides with an enhanced driving experience. For example, the Nissan XTRONIC CVT shifts quickly to the optimum gear without power interruption and traction of the engine.”
According to the report, the demand for electric vehicles (EV) and hybrid vehicles has been high in the automotive industry during the past few years. Some of the factors contributing to this increase are growing environmental concerns, need to reduce CO² emissions, and increased efforts to make vehicles more fuel efficient.
