According to a study by Research ICT Africa, the result of an interview of 100 JSE-listed corporations by World Wide Worx revealed that 46% corporations have adopted cloud services, and primarily private cloud services over security concerns related to the public cloud deployment model. Some of the key providers operating in the cloud computing market include Google, Dimension Data, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and Salesforce.”

According to the report, the increased focus on economic development and enhanced IT infrastructure have resulted in many initiatives by the government of Africa.
