This coating is virtually undetectable and is exceptionally durable in comparison with other coatings. Other features include fade resistance, non-yellowing high-gloss finish, and high reflection. It is the first coating in the market that ensures slip-resistant floors while also maintaining the original appearance of the flooring material.”
According to the report, decorative paints constitute about 55% of the total demand for acrylic surface coatings. From use in automobiles to traffic lights, and exterior walls to interior decoration and furniture, they find many applications. Acrylic paints have many advantages over their substitutes on account of their low drying time, wide pigment compatibility, ease of application, and environmental friendliness. Waterborne acrylic paints, particularly, are the most preferred ones in this segment on account of their environmental friendliness. Rising disposable incomes and urbanization is likely to lead to higher demand for aesthetically appealing coats and will drive the demand for decorative paints over the forecast period.
Further, the report states that increasing prices of raw materials poses a severe challenge to the acrylic paints and coatings market as it affects the ROI of vendors and forces them to look for easily available substitutes or develop technologies that can eventually displace the use of acrylics in paints.
