Worldwide Services Market Shares, 2016: M&A Shifts the Vendor Landscape
This IDC study presents market shares for the worldwide services market for 2016, broken down into macromarkets (i.e., project oriented, outsourcing, and support and training) and macroregion (i.e., Americas, EMEA, and Asia/Pacific). 2016 was another year of change in both the order and elements of vendors that make up the top 10 largest services vendors, says Chad Huston, research manager, Worldwide Services. While the top 6 vendors (IBM, Accenture, HPE, Deloitte, Fujitsu, and Tata Consultancy Services [TCS]) were unchanged, the remaining list saw Cognizant and Lockheed Martin move out of the top 10, with Dell and PwC entering for the first time.
