Worldwide and U.S. Discrete Application Management Services Market Shares, 2014: IDC's Top 10 Vendors
This IDC study provides a review of the top 10 application management services vendors — as ranked by total worldwide discrete application management revenue — which found that Accenture led all service providers in 2014 by achieving an estimated $9.47 billion in revenue. IBM and Tata Consulting Services (TCS) held their second and third rankings, respectively, from the previous year, and Cognizant and Infosys once again rounded out the top 5 as they did in the 2013 revenue rankings. IDC's analysis of consolidated AM services revenue — which encompasses discrete AM revenue combined with AM revenue bundled in other information systems outsourcing contracts — found that Accenture also led all service providers in the category. IBM and TCS took second and third place, respectively, with Cognizant capturing fourth place and HP taking fifth place."This study highlights how the top 10 AM service providers performed in 2014 and showcases how they are commanding market direction for AM services," says Pete Marston, research manager of Application Development, Testing, and Management Services at IDC. "Though SaaS adoption is rising, the top 10 providers continue to persevere and expand their AM services businesses, thanks to the interests of enterprises to grow their application portfolios."
