VMTurbo Applies Market-Based Modeling to Workload Performance Management Challenges

Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, VMTurbo was launched in 2009 with a focus on using economic and supply chain modeling and analytic techniques to address the challenges of optimizing virtualized compute infrastructure capacity and workload performance. Over the past several years, the company has expanded to support private and hybrid cloud architectures as well as traditional, virtualized infrastructure and emerging container-based environments. Fueled by four rounds of venture funding, the company now claims to have over 400 employees and approximately 1,000 paying customers. The most recent $50 million Series D funding round was led by ICONIQ Capital. IDC estimates that VMTurbo realized over $30 million in software revenue in 2014.
