Service Innovation: Five Top Issues in Transforming an IT Organization
This IDC study shares the research findings that generated the most interaction during a recent CIO annual strategy session of a large United States–based communications company. These findings highlight the issues being confronted by large enterprises: they provide a sampling of foundational IT successes that need to be preserved coupled with unique business issues faced by each enterprise. IDC finds high value in these planning sessions, as IT executives candidly evaluate what has changed within their IT organization and their enterprise's market, what has remained constant and true, and what are the new decision imperatives facing their CIO and staff — strategic questions encountered by every IT executive planning group.

"CIOs and other IT executives will reap benefits from having strategic IT planning sessions that focus on IT issues that are now surfacing from 3rd Platform initiatives."Please Note: Extended description available upon request.
