This IDC Buyer Case Study looks at the innovative blend of artificial intelligence (AI) and crowdsourced workforce to help online businesses automate labor-intensive data workflows, thereby enabling organizations to optimize cost and scale information-rich operations while maintaining data quality. We learned about Snapdeal, which partners with Squad, an India-based AI-powered distributed workforce platform for business processes; Snapdeal leveraged Squad's AI automation and distributed workforce to support complex data workflows, including content and review moderation, data enrichment and labeling, and product curation and recommendation. Driven by organizations' digital transformation efforts in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ), IDC foresees increasing demand for big data analytics and AI solutions. This case study highlights a pragmatic solution of combining people, AI technology, and workflow orchestration, that offers technology buyers a viable approach towards AI adoption.
