Perspective: Supply Chain Control Tower — What Is It, and Should You Care?

This IDC Manufacturing Insights Perspective looks at the growing popularity of supply chain control towers (SCCTs) and the equally diverse opinions on what it really means for the supply chain and whether one is necessary or not. The trickiest part of any discussion of a supply chain control tower is in agreeing to the term and to the definition. While at IDC Manufacturing Insights we aren't particularly enamored of the term control tower, it appears to be sticking in the common vernacular, so it is the supply chain control tower, at least for now.
