Perspective: Cybersecurity and Government in Central and Eastern Europe, 2016
This IDC Government Insights Perspective offers insight into the legislative activities undertaken by CEE countries in the field of cybersecurity in 2016, and examines how they could affect the prospects of ICT security vendors going forward. In the past decade, cybersecurity has been one of the key issues that public sector CIOs — and especially policymakers — have needed to address. However, recent developments, both in terms of technology and the wider security environment, have pushed cybersecurity into the limelight. Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) is one of the regions that has been most affected by these recent developments, and, as a result, governments across the region are under mounting pressure to take adequate cybersecurity measures.
