Operationalizing Composable/Disaggregated Infrastructure: HPE Synergy
This IDC study assesses the set of technologies and solutions that are collectively classified as "composable/disaggregated infrastructure" or CDI for short, with a specific focus on how it is implemented by HPE in Synergy. It also discusses workloads, applications, and customers that are driving demand for these technologies and solutions. Concepts of disaggregating IT systems down to discrete resources have been discussed in the industry for some time, even though the enabling technologies have yet to mature."DX and NGAs driven by shifts in business strategy will fuel the demand for composable infrastructure," said Ashish Nadkarni, group VP, Infrastructure Systems, Platforms, and Technologies. "This emerging category of systems seeks to create greater business agility, lower operational costs, and increased application performance. Businesses should stay open to embracing these systems, provided concerns such as ease of management and promised ROI are addressed."
