Japan Unified Communications and Collaborative Application System Vendor Analysis 2015
This IDC study provides the results of a survey targeting market configuration, participating vendor trends, and business conditions in each solution market of the Japan unified communication/collaboration (UC&C) market. In this study, IDC surveyed 2014 results, the market configuration for vendors participating in each solution market, and the business circumstances of each vendor in the Japan UC&C market.
"IDC believes that competitive factors (factors that impact business) in the Japan UC&C market are caused by the introduction of cloud services and mobile systems in each solution market. In order to pull past their competition, vendors participating in the Japan UC&C market will need to accelerate their provision of composable functions (component provision for UC&C functions) that effectively utilize IaaS/PaaS in cloud-based UC&C functions that are in a revenue growth phase, and will need to strengthen collaboration with corporate service providers/communication carriers as a means to compete/participate in new markets," says Takashi Manabe, software and security Group Manager, IDC Japan.
