Japan IT Services Vendor Analysis by Service Segment and by Vertical 2015
This IDC study gives an overview of the March 2015 term Japan IT services market, and summarizes the results of surveying and analyzing the competitive trends in 15 major vendors with Japan IT services revenue of approximately 100 billion yen or more, based on IDC estimates. The competitive analysis of these vendors was performed on a consolidated business, and includes Japan IT services revenue broken down by service segment and by six industry sectors (finance, manufacturing, distribution, communications/media, government/public sectors, and others ), as well as by each vendor's business trends and growth strategies.There were 15 major vendors in the March 2015-term Japan IT services market. Of those, 13 vendors achieved positive growth. Two companies have a YoY growth exceeding 10%, and there are now seven vendors with 5% or higher growth, clearly suggesting favorable results. In particular, many vendors acquired demand for building/renovating mission-critical systems in the finance and government sectors and increased their revenue through project-oriented services.
