The backgrounds to these figures are then analyzed.Group Manager of the IDC Japan IT Spending Group, Yayoi Hirose, states that "IT vendors should help to link the departments (development and design, marketing, production lines, maintenance, and so on) that tend to become silos, thus separated from one another within the large enterprises that hold the keys to using the 3rd Platform; and should encourage more effective partnerships with the aim of delivering customer-centered business."
