Japan Office Printing Environment End-User Analysis 2014: Print and Document Management Maturity

This IDC study summarizes and analyzes the results of the Print and Document Management Maturity User Survey conducted by IDC in October 2014. Respondents in the survey were employees of Japan companies involved in decisions on implementing equipment or services for copy/print environments in one way or another. The survey covered topics such as print and document management, MPS and mobile/cloud printing implementation, and the maturity of print/document management in Japan.

“The results of the survey show that many user enterprises in Japan have Level 2 maturity in print/document management. Many companies are advanced in the technical part of the implementation process but lagging in terms of using these technologies for companywide management processes, such as consensus building, employee awareness building/governance, and process standardization,” says Eiji Ishida, Group Manager, Imaging, Printing & Document Solutions, IDC Japan.
