Japan Enterprise Storage Systems by Vertical Segment Market Shares, 2015: Big Growth in Finance and IT Services
This IDC study shows the spending performance of the Japan enterprise storage systems (external, internal, original design manufacturer [ODM] Direct) market for 2014 and 2015 by industry sector. It also analyzes the vendor-based revenue results and share in each industry sector for the external enterprise storage systems market from 2013 to 2015. "Replacement demand still accounts for a high percentage in storage spending, but more companies are increasing their investments in new systems, in order to improve their profits and to establish a competitive advantage in the market. To establish a business strategy for different industry sectors, it is important for storage vendors to secure replacement demand for existing systems and at the same time, support the building of new systems that sustain new businesses and the strengthening of competitiveness for each industry sector," says Masaaki Moriyama, group director, IDC Japan.
