Japan Enterprise Applications and Business Analytics Solutions 2015-2019 Forecast and 2014 Review with Vertical View
This study analyzes and provides 2014–2019 forecasts for the Japan enterprise applications (EA) solutions — enterprise resource management (ERM), supply chain management (SCM), and customer relationship management (CRM) — and business analytics (BA) solutions markets. This study also reports on the efforts that companies should consider in the run-up to the launch of the My Number system in January 2016 and on trends among relevant vendors.
In 2014, the Japan EA and BA solutions market grew overall, primarily due to growth in the ERM solutions, CRM solutions, and BA solutions markets. Growth for ERM solutions — which form the core of EA solutions — was mainly in financial accounting. However, there was also considerable attention directed at talent management for companies attempting to expand globally and other forms of human resources management that attempt to place human talent optimally and to improve labor productivity. "To improve labor productivity, it will be necessary to take advantage of such opportunities as the mandated stress checks of the My Number system to consider how to conduct human resources tasks over the long term, shifting from a defensive stance to an offensive stance; to improve processes; and to review IT systems, including in terms of security. At the same time that this is being done, the importance of the consulting channels, which support vendors' efforts in managerial aspects such as those just mentioned, will increase," argues Yoko Motai, IDC Japan software and security market analyst.
