Japan Cloud IT Infrastructure Forecast, 2015-2019

In this study, we forecast the Japan cloud IT infrastructure market from 2015 to 2019 by segment based on how IT resources are delivered. We analyze the market as a whole and by component. Satoshi Fukutomi, group manager, Enterprise Infrastructure of IDC Japan, says: "Other than cloud native systems, we will see greater needs for cloud-enabled systems among Japan enterprises. Compared with their overseas counterparts, Japan enterprises spent proportionally more on IT infrastructure that use mainframes or UNIX servers. In other words, strong needs for cloud-enabled systems exist. Since it is unlikely that companies in Japan will go cloud native for all legacy systems, we believe the need for cloud-enabled systems will continue to promote private cloud and on-premises and private cloud and off-premises systems spending."
