Internet of Things Adoption and Preferences in the Nordics

This IDC study analyzes the adoption and perception of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the Nordics and compares them with the global trends. It is based on 100 interviews with business and IT executives in the region and part of IDC's global IoT initiative, a survey of 2,350 respondents from companies with 500+ employees in 20 different countries across the globe."The survey results tell us that companies have significant interest in the IoT and the advantages it can bring to the business. To succeed, IT vendors need to emphasize the potential for business growth and transformation as well cost-saving opportunities," said Anders Elbak, Nordic research manager, IDC European IoT Practice. "It is very important to keep the dialogue in the business rather than the IT department, especially in the Nordics, where the IoT is predominately driven by the business."
