IDC's Worldwide Digital Transformation Use Case Taxonomy, 2019: Higher Education
This IDC study provides IDC's DX use case taxonomy for higher education. This taxonomy is organized by four strategic priorities — student engagement, faculty research empowerment, funding and partnership enhancement, and campus of the future — which are common in college and university settings around the globe. This study also provides a guide to an institution's digital transformation journey so that individual projects or use cases align with an institution's long-term objectives."To continue to be relevant to society and to students, all institutions face the need to transform their academic capabilities using digital technologies," says Ron Babin, adjunct analyst with IDC's IT Executive Programs (IEP). "No part of the institution is untouched by digital transformation, although some aspects of digital transformation are current, demanding attention, while others may be a few short years into the future," says Mike Chapple, adjunct analyst with IDC's IT Executive Programs (IEP).
