IDC MaturityScape Benchmark: Enterprise Mobility in Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan), 2016
To help the business and IT executives within organizations better understand the elements of a successful enterprise mobility strategy, IDC has developed an enterprise mobility maturity model that identifies the five stages of maturity and the critical competencies, measures, outcomes, and actions that are required for organizations to improve their mobility-related strategies. This IDC study aims to help enterprises assess their current enterprise mobility maturity and uncover gaps in their mobility strategies. It also provides a framework to assist enterprises in planning, developing, and executing their mobility initiatives. Specifically, this study enables enterprises to:Assess their mobility competency and maturityPrioritize mobility technology, their partners, and other related investment decisionsBenchmark mobile maturity against country and industry trendsUncover maturity gaps and identify the resources required to deliver and support enterprise mobility initiatives"Mobility has entered mainstream across many Asian organizations today, as firms have learnt to leverage at least the basic benefits that mobile technology has to offer. However, as with any technology adoption, this one is also a journey, with only a few organizations embracing the value that mobility offers as a competitive business advantage. This is where the next phase of the journey stands for most organizations today — moving from tolerating mobility as an employee choice toward embracing mobility as a business imperative to drive the organization's digital transformation agenda," says Avinash K. Sundaram, research manager, Enterprise Mobility, IDC Asia/Pacific.
