2015 Global IoT Decision Maker Survey: C-Level Analysis
This IDC study provides a "C-level" analysis of key findings from IDC's 2015 Global IoT Decision Maker Survey and examines how enterprise IoT deployment strategies and perceptions of the market can vary, depending on the title or executive office of the decision maker. The survey includes 2,350 respondents from more than 15 countries worldwide and covers a broad category of topics related to decision makers' overall level of awareness of IoT, views on its importance, leading drivers and inhibitors to IoT deployments, and perceptions about vendors in the market."The results from this study demonstrate the need for IoT vendors to have a keen understanding of their audience when pitching new IoT products and services," says Adam Wright, senior research analyst, Internet of Things. "As more and more decision makers from roles not traditionally considered IT become involved with IoT-related business decisions, it is important for vendors to extend their conversations about IoT to include those outside of the CIO and IT department."
