Canadian IT 2015–2019 Forecast by Vertical Market

This IDC study provides the Canadian IT spending and growth forecast over 17 individual vertical markets for the period from 2014, our base year, to 2019. IDC Canada has revised its market assessment since our last published forecast for the Canadian IT market by vertical sector.

"IDC Canada has closely examined the impact of the changing macroeconomic environment, adoption of 3rd Platform technologies, and other factors while sizing and forecasting the demand for IT hardware, software, and services by Canadian public and private organizations," said Nigel Wallis, research director, Vertical Markets and New Initiatives. "The Canadian enterprise IT market was $43.1 billion in 2014. IDC predicts that the enterprise IT market will grow by a compound annual growth rate of 3.4% through 2019, meaning that technology vendors will be looking at selling to a $51 billion market four years from now."
