The focus is on outlining market segments across long- and short-form online video, providing segment definitions and assessing future opportunities in the OTT video services market. All segmentations reflect only premium or commercial content and do not include user-generated video uploaded for file-sharing purposes. They also don't include illegal or grey market sources of content such as VPN usage or torrent websites."The OTT video services landscape grows increasingly diverse as multiple monetization models, content types, distribution channels, and audience segmentations contribute to rapid market evolution," says Greg Ireland, research director for Multiscreen Video at IDC.
