Business Strategy: A Spike in Spending — U.S. Federal IT Forecast for Civilian Agencies, 2015–2019
This IDC Government Insights report looks at IT spending by major civilian agencies — by major programs within those agencies — and also lists the top IT vendors and products. Civilian agency IT spending for the U.S. federal government will be just over $49 billion for fiscal year 2016.
"At 28.1%, the Department of Health and Human Services is the clear growth leader for 2015," says Shawn P. McCarthy, research director at IDC Government Insights. "And even though that agency will see slightly negative growth for 2016, HHS still dwarfs other agencies when it comes to IT spending, representing over 23% of civilian agency spending, with DHS coming in at 12.7%."Please Note: Extended description available upon request.
