U.S. Business Use Smartphone Forecast Update, 2023–2027
This IDC study presents the five-year forecast for the U.S. business use of smartphone shipments by operating system and user type (consumer, individual liable, and corporate liable). It is part of IDC's continuing research with respect to mobile devices. Findings in this document are based on information gathered from primary and secondary sources during the past six months."While most U.S. businesses report they plan to invest more in mobile-based solutions in the coming months, U.S. ITDMs report a reduction in overall mobility spending from 2022 levels," said Bryan Bassett, research manager, IDC's Enterprise Mobility: Workspace and Deployment Strategies program. "Mobile security software, mobile hardware, and device management solutions will remain core investments, but businesses are prioritizing compliance, infrastructure, and IT operation optimization spending over new mobility initiatives through 2023. This spending shift combined with extended device refresh rates for both CL and IL devices will impact U.S. business use device shipments over the forecast period."
