Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan) IT Services Market 2015 Top 10 Predictions: Transforming IT Service Delivery in the 3rd Platform Era

This IDC study discusses the prominent trends that will have the biggest commercial impact on the IT services market across Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan), or APEJ, in 2015. As we look ahead to 2015, the industry is entering the most critical period of the 3rd Platform era — the "innovation stage." This predictions document discusses how this will impact the IT services market in APEJ region and more importantly, highlights the need of IT organizations to reposition themselves.

"In terms of the impact on IT services market, first and foremost, the broad adoption of complex 3rd Platform technology will double the current enterprise investment in professional services. As for IT organizations/CIOs, they will need to restructure and reposition as the central pivot in IT-enabled business services delivery chains for their enterprise. Adjusting to this new positioning will mandate changes to the core areas of IT in any enterprise," says Cathy Huang, research manager, Services and Cloud Research Group, IDC Asia/Pacific.
